The GE Custom 22 is a departure in some respects from the regular 22 watt 6V6 Amplifier in that it is completely Handwired and Handcrafted.You can expect a better lush harmonic chime of the “Blackface” style Amplifier but with a massive helping of feel.
The Custom 22 possesses a touch and feel that is not available with the traditional 6V6 based 22 Watt Amplifier and you may have experienced this as a “pushy” or “stiff “ feeling when you play.You may have also heard the regular low end “flubbiness” associated with other 6V6 based Amplifiers. The Custom 22 hangs together at higher volumes with ease.
Couple this up with 2 Channels, comprising of a Clean Channel and a more driven Second Channel with a 3 way Gain switch and a sweet lush Tube driven Reverb and Effect loop.
Sweet Stratocaster and Telecaster tones are what you can expect from this Amplifier and it delivers in Spades.
